LAGOS – LEADING pan-African news service provider, Centre for African Journalists (CAJ), has launched CAJ News Nigeria.

CAJ News Nigeria took off on Thursday ahead of the official launch in Lagos on October 8.

CAJ News Nigeria, accessible via:, has been launched following corporate, public and international demand seeking to know unfolding business, social, entertainment and sporting developments in Africa’s largest economy.

Announcing the launch, CAJ News Africa Chief Executive Officer, Savious-Parker Kwinika, said there was rising demand for the organisation’s quality news among Nigerian media houses.

“We are pleased to announce the launch of CAJ News Nigeria by public demand! Nigerian media called us to service them, and we have positively responded by listening to their call hence this Pan African brand for them.

“Both Nigerian and South African companies seeking to grow into Nigeria economy have been writing us, emailing us and telephoning us to launch CAJ News Nigeria, which we now feel would address its purpose in Nigeria and the rest of West Africa,” Kwinika said.

He said prior to the launch, CAJ News Nigeria has been operating only two bureaus in Abuja and Lagos saying the news service provide was now covering the entire country.

“I have to do justice by mentioning names of our Abuja Bureau Chief Augustine Osayande and his Lagos counterpart Okoro Chinedu for being loyal to the organisation even when things were tough for us in Nigeria as we started.

“Their resilience, focus, hard-working and unwavering professionalism support has made CAJ News Nigeria a force to reckon with in the entire country and the rest of West African region.

“I therefore invite companies with hunger to grow in Nigeria, media houses seeking to use quality and uncontaminated Pan African news copy to make use of CAJ News Nigeria to their advantage,” said Kwinika.

Kwinika said CAJ News Nigeria was looking for additional journalists, marketing and sales representatives for Rivers, Niger Delta and Kano States.
