Maheshwari new Seven Energy CEO

Seven EnergyLAGOS, (CAJ News) – SEVEN Energy, the integrated gas company in southeast
Nigeria, has appointed Manish Maheshwari as Chief Executive Officer.He succeeds Phillip Ihenacho, who had informed the company in 2016 of his wish to step down from a full time executive role.
Ihenacho said he was pleased they succeeded in attracting such a high quality executive for the Group.
“As we enter the next phase of the Group’s development, Manish brings all the relevant industry experience to deliver our strategy and I personally look forward to working closely with him,” said Ihenacho.
Maheshwari has over 22 years’ experience in the oil and gas sector, most recently as Chief Executive Officer of Essar Exploration & Production, and prior to that as Managing Director of Hindustan Oil Exploration Company Limited, a subsidiary of Eni.
He expressed delight at joining Seven Energy.
“I look forward to working closely with the various stakeholders in defining and delivering strategy aimed to position the Group on a path of sustainable and value accretive growth,” said Maheshwari.
Seven Energy has upstream oil and gas interests in the region.
Matthew Harwood, the company’s chairman, said over the past five years they had delivered on their promise to develop an integrated gas business.
“I am delighted to welcome Manish Maheshwari to Seven Energy and look forward to working with him and benefiting from his wide experience in the industry,” said Harwood.
