Mobile app offers hope to Nigeria flood victims

LAGOS, (CAJ News) – NIGERIA’S leading mobile payment application has collaborated with a non-governmental organisation to extend financial support and rehabilitation to flood-affected people in the central Benue State.
Zoto, the app by Hedonmark Management Services Limited, partnered with HOPE Foundation.
Zoto, through its Zoto Smiles initiative, has announced they will contribute N10 (US$0,03) every time the app is used to recharge or pay bills.
Oshone Ikazoboh, Co-Founder of Zoto, said, “We are liasoning with our NGO partner to ensure quick supply of relief material. We offer condolences to the families who lost their loved ones and pray that the situation normalises soon.”
More than 110 000 people in 24 communities including Makurdi, the state capital, have been displaced by the floods.
Zoto is a safe, fast and easy way of making payments in Nigeria.
It has more over 1 million registered users.
